ISP coordination & failover

We coordinate with your ISP and landlord on circuit timing, test failover before cutover, and chase vendor tickets so “waiting on the internet” does not delay your move-in date.

What we integrate

What we handle on every move.

The capabilities behind every Knockout Networks office relocation—planned carefully, executed after hours, documented for the next person.

Office moves fail when IT is an afterthought. We build a move plan with timelines, cutover steps, and rollback options—then execute network, phone, and workstation work after hours so your team walks in Monday ready to work.

Service areas

Office moves across Northern Virginia, Washington DC & Maryland

We plan and execute office moves and IT relocations for small businesses throughout the greater DMV. Based in Herndon, Virginia, we serve the greater DMV—Northern Virginia (including Loudoun, Fairfax, and all of NoVA), Washington DC, and Maryland (including Montgomery County and surrounding suburbs, Prince George’s County, and up to Baltimore), plus Virginia south to Fredericksburg. Remote-first IT support everywhere we cover; local engineers for onsite surveys, installs, and projects.

How it works

Plan, stage, cut over, support.

  1. 01

    Plan

We walk both spaces, inventory gear, confirm ISP timing, and build a cutover checklist with rollback steps for every critical system.

  2. 02

    Stage

New racks, Wi‑Fi, and workstations are built and tested before moving day—so cutover is execution, not discovery.

  3. 03

    Cut over

After-hours move of network, phones, and AV—with a test pass on internet, email, printing, and Wi‑Fi before we call it done.

  4. 04

    Support

Day-one help desk coverage and a punch list for stragglers—so staff focus on clients, not cables.

Questions

Good to know.

Do you handle office moves in Arlington, Fairfax, Tysons, and across NoVA?

Yes—office moves and IT relocation is a core project type for us. We support small businesses across the DMV with planned cutovers and local on-site engineers.

How far in advance should we book an office move?

Four to eight weeks is ideal for suite moves with ISP coordination; smaller same-building moves can be shorter. Contact us early—we will tell you honestly if the timeline is tight.

Can you move our network closet and server gear?

Yes—racks, switches, firewalls, and servers are relocated, re-cabled, and labeled. We test failover and backups at the new site before decommissioning the old closet.

Do you coordinate with our ISP and landlord?

We open tickets, confirm circuit install dates, and align with building IT requirements—so you are not the person on hold with three vendors at once.

Will our phones and email work on day one?

That is the goal. We port numbers, test auto-attendants, and verify email and Wi‑Fi before staff arrive—with extra help desk coverage the first week for edge cases.

Is this different from managed IT?

Office moves are scoped projects with a fixed plan and cutover date. Many clients return to managed IT afterward for ongoing help desk and monitoring—we can do both.
